Happy New Year

Sue and I hope you had a good Christmas and that you have a Happy New Year.
The layout for the blog has changed slightly and it has a new background. I couldn’t find anything from the 2015 photos that I thought suitable for the background so to get something colourful 3 packs of Smarties helped out. The advantage of this was that I could eat the Smarties once I was finished with taking the photos.
Shortly before Christmas we visited our Portsmouth friends for a pre Christmas lunch at Eastney Cruising Association (ECA) in Southsea

Boxing Day lunch at Ed and Louise’s
During the very tasty lunch we played charades and trivial pursuits. I was Freddy Mercury, for charades, I’m glad I didn’t have to wear tight trousers.
In the afternoon four of us walked along Highcliffe prom. It was very windy.

On December 30th we went to Bristol for our bi-annual ‘JHQ’ get together. This time we were at Rae and Don’s house. Fortunately the weather was good so we made good time there and back. We had an excellent meal and we caught up with all the news.

Another day, another walk – delayed. Just as we were about to get out of the car there was this enormous hailstorm, so we just sat tight until it had passed over. We then walked from Cliff Drive towards Sandbanks and then got thoroughly soaked by rain which had not been forecast by the met office (what’s new). Anyway we had a hot drink in the Jazz Cafe at Sandbanks and managed to dry off.
